Be-verbin imperfekti

Be- eli olla-verbillä on kaksi imperfektimuotoa: was ja were.
Kielteiset muodot ovat wasn't (was not) ja weren't (were not).
Näin be-verbi taipuu:

I was
you were
he/she/Mikko was
it was

we were
you were
they/Mikko and Matti were
